Dr. Swainston has worked with Nelson's Homeopathic Pharmacy in London, Neal's Yard Apothecary in Brighton England, and Weleda Anthroposophical Pharmaceuticals in South Africa before launching her own company in 1991 called Holistic Health CC.

Dr. Swainston established a free natural health clinic in Cape Town in the 90's, using the profits

of her own-created Natru Products.

Her company funded the clinic and was a valuable service to the community, most of whom had

not previously been treated homeopathically, as homeopathic consultations are expensive and,

in those days, one could not claim for homeopathic treatment from medical aid.

Once the clinic was set up and running smoothly with a staff of 3 doctors, Dr. Swainston left for

a trans-Africa research expedition, from Cape Town to Ireland, sponsored by her new company

Natruhealth CC.

Once the clinic was set up and running smoothly with a staff of three doctors, Dr. Swainston left for

a trans-Africa research expedition, from Cape Town to Ireland, sponsored by her new company

Natruhealth CC.

During the expedition, Dr. Swainston was able to treat people with tropical and rare diseases not

usually seen in urban areas, and also emergency medical conditions which are usually treated

in a hospital casualty ward, because hospitals and medical facilities are scarce in Africa.

This invaluable experience enabled her to use natural methods to treat illnesses that in the

developed world would only be treated with chemical drugs where she experienced the true

efficacy of natural medicine.

After the trans-Africa research motorcycle expedition, Dr. Swainston. wrote a number one

bestseller on the cure for obesity published in South Africa by Struik in 1997, titled "Get Slim

Stay Slim Naturally The Herbal Guide to Permanent Weight Loss". The new edition was

published in 2024.

Dr. Swainston is also the author of "Essential Nutrients for Lifelong Health" and "Pregnancy and

Baby Care: A Practical Herbal Guide for Mothers and Healthcare Professionals", all books are

available at online bookstores.
